1. What is the structure of the Air Brake Course?

The Air Brake Course is divided into two main components: theory and practical. The theory portion is delivered online through a self-paced Learning Management System (LMS). The practical component includes in-vehicle demonstration, inspection and testing procedures of the air brake component.

2. How long is the air brake course?

It will take at least 12 hours to complete the entire air brake course.

3. What are the technical requirements for the course?

    Recommended Hardware:
  • - A laptop or desktop with a minimum 2.4 GHz processor and at least 4 GB of RAM.
  • - Speakers or headphones for audio output.
  • - Webcam for virtual BDE course interactions.

  • - Mac OSX 10 or higher
  • - Debian 9 or higher

4. How do I access the course?

Once you enroll, you will receive an email with instructions to access the LMS. You can create account and log in to the LMS from any compatible web browser to start the course.

5. Can I access the course material after completing it?

Yes, you will have access to the course material for a specified period after completion, allowing you to review the content as needed.

6. What kind of support is available if I have questions or technical issues?

Course content support, service support and technical support are available to assist you with any questions or issues you may encounter.

7. How will I be assessed during the course?

The course includes quizzes and interactive assessments throughout the theory modules to ensure you understand the material. The practical demonstration and practical test will be done in-vehicle with an instructor.

8. Is this course recognized by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO)?

Yes, the course content meets the requirements set by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for air brake systems training.

9. Do I need my G licence to start this learning course?

Yes, each student must have their G licence to enroll in this airbrake course.

10. What if I get locked out of the learning course?

11. Can I fast forward or skip any of the lessons?

No, you must complete each lesson in sequence. Fast forwarding or skipping lessons is not permitted.
